Therefore these pipes are suitable for transporting drinking water.For the public water supply only pressure pipes SDR 11 made of HDPE 80 or SDR 11 and SDR 17 made of HDPE 100 are approved.

- Due to the high flexibility and the supply in long pipe coils or on drums the pipes are perfect for direct earth-laying by normal trench-installation as well as trenchless installation, eg ploughing-in, milling or relining.
- Due to the special material characteristics pipes made from RAU-PE 80, RAU-PE 100 can be used for problematic applications like mountain sinking areas where movement in the ground can be expected.
- Connection with standard clamping, screwing or heating spiral welding fittings
- Assembly of connection according to general technical guidelines as well as producer specific guidelines
- Butt welding and heating spiral welding according to guideline DVS 2207-1
