Noise reduced drainage of soil and waste water
Sound insulation in domestic wastewater systems are gaining increasing importance. The reason: it is a known fact that noise creates illness. REHAU has, therefore, developed a state-of-the-art soundproofing domestic wastewater system.In previous domestic wastewater systems, only the air-borne noise was reduced through the large weight of the components. However, besides air-borne noise, there is another source of noise that occurs in wastewater systems, i.e. structure-borne noise. This fact was taken into account in the development of RAUPIANO Plus. Considerations were thus given to both sources of noise.
- Pipe dimension: Ø40 to Ø160.
- RAUPIANO plus waste water pipes and fittings are suitable for drainage facilities according to DIN EN 12056 and DIN 1986-100 for use within buildings.
- This system reduces the air-borne and structural-borne noise in the building caused by water flow in the pipes. This is possible with the special pipe material formulation and its patented securing clips.
- Comply to DIN 4109 (sound insulation in building construction) and VDI Guildline 4100. The strictest requirement in VDI Guildline 4100 (sound insulation level III) stipulates a maximum sound pressure of 25 dB(A) (multi-family dwellings) or 20dB(A) (semi-detached and row houses).
- Easy and rapid installation thanks to flanged plug socket and inserted lip sealing ring. No additional tools required.
- Improved material formulation for excellent cold impact resistance. Ice-crystal test to DIN En 1451/1411.
- System design is similar to HT pipes.
- Can be recycled.
- Design to withstand internal pressure of 0.5 bar.
- High chemical resistance to all types of household wastewater in a range from pH 2 to 12
- Dimension compatible with conventional HT pipe sizes. Connect without any special adaptors. Equal assembly time and cost.
- Building material classification: B2 (according to DIN 4102-1).
- Economical and innovative fire protection solutions.
- Resistant to hot water up to 90°C (or even 95°C for a short time).

The pipes, fittings and sealing elements can be used at up to 95 °C (for brief periods).
They are suitable for the drainage of chemically aggressive waste water with a pH
value of 2 (acidic) to 12 (basic).
The pipe connections are leak-proof up to an internal excess water pressure of 0.5 bar
(5 m water column).
For outlet pipes of ventilation lines, use UV-stabilized pipes instead of RAUPIANO Plus.

Pipes and fittings may not be used for:
- Pipes subject to a continuous stress of more than 90 °C (95 °C for short-term periods)
- Pipes carrying waste water containing petrol or benzene
- Pipes in the ground
- Exposed pipes outdoors
